Description
Presage and the SSA445J1 celebrate Seiko’s 140th anniversary and its long association with Ginza, the first watch store. The dial reflects the traditional paving stones of the district in a gray & blue tone like the buildings and current modern architecture.
The SSA445J1 is a tribute to the history of the district with Komparu, where Ginza’s nightlife once centered. This blue color with a soft green hue was first used in the Meiji era (1868-1912), found favor among the many geishas’ who lived there, and then became a popular color.
Seiko Presage is from the new vintage series Presage “Style 60’s” inspired by the 1964 Crown Chronograph and Seiko’s old designs of the 1960s.
The original Crown Chronograph did not incorporate date display but this new series does offer the calendar function.
