The foundations of Citizen was laid down in the year 1918, in Japan. Since then it has been a pioneer in the watchmaking industry while promoting mens watches in innovative technology. Later in the year 1995, the Citizen Eco Drive technology revised itself that took the quartz technology to a new height and this was done by launching the watch powered by natural or artificial lights. The Citizen Eco Drive range of watches has helped the Citizen Watch Company to become the world’s largest watch producer from the 1980s until today.
