Description
The first G-Shock was made in the 1983 Casio DW-5000C designed by an engineer working for Casio named Kikuo Ibe. Casio G Shock was created to make a watch that has a 10-year battery life, water resistant to 10 bar, and can survive a fall of 10 meters. Its shock resistant design has 10 layers of protective innards protecting the quartz time mechanism. The rubber inserts, the stainless steel case, the hardened mineral glass and the stainless steel case back made the watch tough and dynamic, living up to the hallmark of a Casio watch
